As graduation is coming faster and faster, our seniors couldn’t be happier. Jolie Marie Wood, our senior profile this week, is a pretty familiar name among Sweet Grass County High School and the community.

Jolie has been very busy in her four years at SGCHS as volleyball team captain senior year, basketball team captain junior and senior year, track, band, s-club for all four years. She has also been apart of SAVY and Academic Olympics the past three years.  Jolie is also a Big Timber Grade School mentor and has been trying new things like being in the school play for her first time.

Out of all the great times Jolie has experienced, there are some she’ll never forget, Wood said, “Sophomore year, when my 4x400 meter relay team placed 5th at state and winning the district championship this year in basketball.” With amazing accomplishments like that, we all know that Jolie still has a very exciting life ahead of her, and she’ll accomplish great things.

After high school, Jolie plans on going to Montana State University to enter the Pre-Medicine program.

When asked what three items to take on a desert island, Jolie replied, “ I’d take a first aid kit, a magnifying glass to start fires with, and a water bottle with a desalination device in it to be able to drink water from the ocean!”

Everyone wishes you the best of luck in your future Jolie, and we can’t wait to see what you do for the world outside of our little town.
