As this is our last week of school we are winding down! Today's spotlight is Sawyer Toulouse, the past four years Sawyer has been involved in Speech and Drama, school play, band, and Jazz Band. Out of school, she was involved with outdoor soccer. One of Sawyer's most memorable moments was winning state last year for girls soccer; they were undefeated and no one had scored on them. A couple of things Sawyer is going to miss after high school she states  “is my favorite teachers, I'll be able to visit my friends a bunch and keep in touch with them but I won’t have the same chance with teachers."

Sawyer plans on going to an art and design school for college to study animation and illustration. “I really wanted to go into that field because I’ve always enjoyed watching animated shows and movies and it's something I really want to be a part of." Sawyer has applied to Minneapolis College of Art and Design she has not heard if she has been accepted or not. If Sawyer doesn’t get accepted into MCAD she has a couple of other colleges she can apply to.

If Sawyer was stranded on an island she would bring a good book, some sunscreen, and a box of her favorite cookies, she states “I’m gonna be there for a good time, not a long time." After high school, Sawyer is excited to just relax.

She isn’t sure how much traveling her family is going to get due to COVID-19 and some of her family is at a higher risk. She's hoping to go on a tour to a college, whichever one she decides, she’s also hoping that soccer still happens it just gets pushed more into the summer!
