Mildland Empire Chapter of Credit Unions

The Midland Empire Chapter of Credit Unions will be offering two $1,000 scholarship in the spring of 2020 for students wanting to attend college. One scholarship to a traditional student; and one to a non-traditional student. The main requirement for a scholarship is to be a member of one of the following credit unions, Altana Federal, Billings Federal, Montana Health Federal, Rimrock, SEG Federal, Sky Federal, and Valley. Applications are available in the counseling office or at each credit union.Due Date: March 1, 2020

Montana Federation of Public Employees

The Montana Federation of Public Employees (MFPE) is awarding a scholarship to a student who has demonstrated academic achievement, financial need, community involvement and/or extracurricular activity. The student or parent/legal guardian must be an active member of MFPE. Amount: $1,500 Due Date: March 15, 2020

Montana University System Honor Scholarship

Available to a Montana high school senior with a cumulative GPS of at least 3.4 at the end of the 7th semester. Must meet the Rigorous Core Requirements by graduation. Must take the ACT or SAT by December 31, 2019, must be a U.S. citizen and Montana resident, and must be accepted by an eligible campus. Amount: Waves tuition at an eligible campus: approx. $5,000 renewable each year. Due Date: March 15, 2020

Montana STEM Scholarship

Awarded to 2020 graduate of Montana high school, must be accepted by an eligible Montana campus, and obtain a GPA of at least 3.25. Must complete 4 years of math and 3 years of science while in High School, and must declare a STEM or Healthcare major.

Amount: $1,000 for the first year and $1,500 for the second and third year, and $2,00 for the fourth year. Due Date: March 15, 2020

Horatio Alger Montana Scholarship

The Horatio Alger scholarship is made possible through the generosity of Dennis and Phyllis Washington in partnership with the Horatio Alger Association. This scholarship is specifically aimes at students who have confronted and have overcome adversity in their young lives. Must be attending The University of Montana or one of its affiliates or Montana State University or one of its affiliates.Due Date: March 15, 2020

TRIANGLE COMMUNICATIONS $1,000 SCHOLARSHIPS

Triangle Communications is proud to support our area youth by providing up to 37 high school and 3 college scholarship opportunities.

To be eligible, applicant must be a subscriber or a dependent of a subscriber who receives landline telephone, broadband or mobile telephone service from us. Foundation for Rural Service Scholarship

The Foundation for Rural Services Scholarship application is a 2-part process and both parts must be postmarked before March 1st and mailed directly to FRS. The scholarship requires the student to include an Endorsement from Triangle Communications and the completed application. The FRS Endorsement Application is due February 15th for endorsement and the Application is due 3/1.

Montana Sheriffs & Peace Officer Association Scholarship

The Montana Sheriff's and Peace Officer Association announces the availability of two $1,500 scholarships to be awarded for the fall semester of 2020 to a graduating high school senior who is seeking a career in local law enforcement. Recipients will be selected on the basis of need and academic ability as well as career goals. Due Date: April 15, 2020.

Civics Scholarship

 The three law firms in Big Timber (Dringman, Josephson, and Lippert Law Firms) are offering one $1,500 scholarship. Available to SGHS high school seniors, SGHS graduates enrolled in college, and SGHS graduates enrolled in graduate school or professional programs. Student must have a minimum of 3.4 GPA, demonstrate civic engagement, and majoring in the fields ofsocial sciences or humanities including, but not limited to: sociology, psychology, economics, political science, law, criminal justice, languages, journalism and education. Deadline: Monday, March 30, 2020

Crazy Mountain Stockgrowers Association Scholarship

 The Crazy Mountain Stockgrowers Association is working to preserve our agricultural way of life. In that, they strongly support youth and education that will continue to grow future leaders in the ranching community. The Crazy Mountain Stockgrowers will offer up to $5,000 in college scholarships to Sweet Grass County students this year. Applicants may be 2019 SGHS graduates, or past graduates currently enrolled in college. One $1,500 scholarships will be awarded through generous donations from Seed Source, Inc. of Toston, MT. Applicants must be pursuing a major or graduated degree in a field pertaining to agriculture. Student must be enrolled for the Fall 2020 semester and achieved at least a sophomore level of education. Sibanye Stillwater Mine Community Scholarship

Sibanye Stillwater Mining Company’s Community Scholarship Program is available to graduating high school students that are not dependents of employees and are planning to continue their education or training. The Company will award Community Scholarships to area high schools for eligible students who are enrolled, or will be enrolled, as full-time students in an accredited postsecondary education or training program after high school graduation. Scholarships are valued up to $1,000 each, subject to availability of funding.
