This week for our senior profile we are featuring Bella Donald. Bella has been involved in volleyball, track, FFA, 4-H, basketball, SAVY, International Club, Mathletes, and the school play for one year. She is very involved in school and plans to further her education next fall at MSU. Bella plans to study Animal Science and eventually apply to vet school. She was given the opportunity to do a PIL (partners in learning) at our local vet which she has really enjoyed. Bella says that this PIL is a great step towards her future plans as it helps her learn and experience day to day surgeries, vet appointments, and just gain the overall experience in animal science.
Bella also has a huge place in her heart for Kenya and service. Her family got involved in a nonprofit organization called Montana on a Mission (MOM) which helps get clean water to the people of Kenya. Bella has been to Kenya twice and the Philippines once. She says what impacted her the most while on these trips is the extreme poverty that the people live in. Bella would like to spread awareness about Kenya. She says, “Most people have absolutely no access to clean water. Women will walk several miles every day just to get water for their families, which is by no means is clean or up to our drinking standards.” Bella encourages others to get involved and make a difference.
Bella said if she were to be stranded on an island she would take her best friend, Connor Dringman, food and water.#sghsclassof2020
