2020 Graduation exercises will be Sunday May 17, 2020 at 1:00 PM on the football field. We are working on facilitating livestream access to the ceremony and a possible FM radio transmission. Additionally, the ceremony will be heard over the football field loudspeaker system. Immediately following the graduation ceremony there will be a Parade of Seniors through town that will be along our traditional Homecoming parade route. If you miss the livestream we will have a recorded version available on our website after the ceremony. If the weather is inclement, Graduation will be held in the high school parking lot with the Seniors in their automobiles participating in the ceremonies via a live feed with the parade to follow. We have been asked that in order to provide the safest environment the guests attending the graduation ceremony please follow the Governor’s directives for social distancing.

A Message from the MHSA Executive Director: Because of the previous MHSA Board action, resumption of spring activities depended on our student’s ability to return to in-person instruction without restrictions by May 4th and if in-person instruction didn’t resume by that time without restrictions, spring activities would be cancelled. The spring 2020 activity season is cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic which is affecting communities across our country. We look forward to the resumption of high school activities during the 2020-2021 school year with some level of normalcy. Our office will be entirely focused on contingency plans for the 2020 fall season and beyond, should they be needed.

The MHSA Executive Board, during a conference call to conduct Association business on Thursday morning, took the following action regarding MHSA Spring Activities: All MHSA spring activities will be suspended through April 24th. This includes practices and contests/meet/festivals. Resumption of spring activities will depend on our student’s ability to return to in-person instruction by May 4th. If in-person instruction doesn’t resume by that time, spring activities will be cancelled. We take seriously the directives from the Governor, State Health Department and CDC for the safety of our students and for their communities. Their safety is our top priority during these challenging times.
If spring activities are resumed, the practice requirement for sports at that time will be five practices from resumption except for golf which will be the normal two practices required.
If spring activities are resumed, post season formats will be adjusted by the MHSA with Executive Board approval.
