Class Description: Join Natasha Stenberg, RD and learn some easy and fun meal prep techniques that will help make the stress around what to eat go away. Learn some great skills in the kitchen as well as some awesome new healthy recipes! Sign up on your own or with a friend.
The fee for this class is $20. Class is limited to 10 people (2 per kitchen space).

Class #4: Kumihimo Jewelry Making
Instructor: Tali Snedigar
Dates: Wednesdays: March 2nd - 23rd
Time: 6:00-7:30pm
Location: SGHS Library
Class Description: Tali Snedigar will be teaching a 4-week Kumihimo Jewelry making class. You will learn the Japanese braiding technique of Kumihimo. You'll learn how to set up, create a braid, and how to add beads to the braid. We will be making a necklace/bracelet set or a necklace/earring set. All of the materials needed will be provided. Bring a large pendant if you have one you'd like to use; there will be a limited selection of pendants to choose from.
The fee for this class is $45 and includes all 4 classes for the session. Class is limited to 10 people.

Class #2: Beginning Guitar

Dates: Tuesdays: March 26th - April 26th
Time: 4:30-5:30pm

Class Description: It's never too early or too late to start playing the guitar! After learning just a few things, one can begin to make music with just a little practice. If you have wanted to learn how to play the guitar, this beginner's class could be the entry into this fun and accessible instrument, no matter what your age. A guitar and a tuner are the basic supplies required.
The fee for this class is $40 and includes all 5 classes for the session. Class is limited to 6 people.

Class #1: Yoga
Instructor: Lorella Manley
Dates: Mondays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays: March 7th - May 26th
Time: 6:00-7:00pm
Location: SGHS Conference Room
Class Description: Lorella is excited to provide yoga classes for all levels of experience and ability. Therapeutic yoga classes are gentle on the body and include: yoga poses modified to the individual's needs, gentle sequences to help improve the body's movement patterns, yoga breathing techniques and guided relaxation. When registering you have the option to choose which day of the week you will attend. A discounted rate will be offered if you sign up for more than one day per week. Yoga mates will be provided or you may bring your own.
The fee for this class is $75 and includes all 12 classes for the session. Classes are limited to 15 people.

1. Science Teacher SGCHS is searching for a 1.0 FTE Broad field Science Teacher. We currently offer Earth Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and AP Biology. We are adding an additional teacher to this department to offer the possibility of additional curriculum electives. The potential for coaching is also available for the successful applicant. Herder Basketball is back in action Saturday in Manhattan. Girls C-Squad starts at 3:00, Boys and Girls JV start at 4:30, Boys Varsity starts at 6:00 and Girls Varsity starts at 7:30.
The Wrestlers are also headed to the State Tournament in Billings this weekend! Colter, Gage, Trae and Zane will be representing SGHS at the Metra Friday and Saturday.
FFA will be heading to White Sulfur Springs on Friday for the District Speaking and Sales Contest.

Congratulations to our wrestlers who qualified for the State Tournament this weekend! Colter Fleming (126 lbs.), Gage McGillvray (132 lbs.), Trae DeSaveur (138 lbs.) and Zane Cox (182 lbs.) will be representing SGHS at the Metra on Friday and Saturday.

The Basketball teams had another good weekend as well with both the girls and boys teams picking up Senior Night wins on Friday against Joliet. The girls won 53-26 and the boys won 57-44.
The girls basketball team also had a big victory on Saturday in Jefferson against the #1 team in the state. They took home the 63-51 victory against the Panthers.
Awesome job Herders!
Basketball heads into the final week of the regular season with home games TOMORROW vs. Lockwood. It is Paint the Gym Blue night so wear your Herder Blue and support our student-athletes!

FFA is in Miles City today at the Beef Breeders Livestock Judging Contest.
Herder Basketball is HOME today against Joliet. It is also Senior Honor Night for our basketball players, cheerleaders and pep band members.
Girls JV starts at 3:00, Boys JV and Girls C-Squad start at 4:30 (c-squad will be a half game in the Civic Center), Girls Varsity will start at 6:00 and Boys Varsity will start at 7:30.
Senior Honor Night festivities will take place in between the two Varsity games.
Wrestling will head to Laurel this afternoon to prepare for their Divisional Tournament tomorrow.

Celebrations will take place in between the Girls and Boys Varsity Basketball games.

Rehearsal will be Thursday night (2/3) at 6:00 pm in the SGHS Band Room. Anyone playing at the games should be at the gym at 5:15pm on Friday.

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Basketball teams for a successful weekend. The girls team beat Columbus on Friday night 55-26. Both the boys and the girls came out on top in Whitehall on Saturday. The boys won 45-36 and the girls won 53-42.

HUGE Congratulations Kassia Larson and Trinity Duncan for making it to the State Semi-Finals for Speech & Drama! They competed in the Humorous Duo category and had a fantastic season.
Way to go Kass and Trinity!!!
FFA had a great outing in Lewistown at the Fergus Ag Mechanics contest. The Senior team took 1st place with Jake Chulyak taking 1st overall, Guildy Browning placing 4th, Avery Durfee placing 8th and Coltyn LaRue placing 10th.
Cole Ferguson placed 9th overall for the Junior Mechanics team.

The Wrestlers had their final matches of the regular season in Hardin this weekend. Oscar Toulouse placed 6th at 120 lbs., Gage McGillvray took 1st place at 132 lbs., Trae DeSaveur placed 2nd at 138 lbs., Taw and Charlie Seemann both placed 4th at 152 and 160 lbs. respectively and Zane Cox took 2nd place at 182 lbs.

Wrestling will be in Hardin for their last match before Divisionals.
Boys & Girls Basketball will be over in Whitehall. There will NOT be a Girls C-Squad or Girls JV game.
Boys JV starts at 1:00, Girls Varsity starts at 2:30 and Boys Varsity starts at 4:00.
Next week the Girls C-Squad starts off the week with a home game on Monday (1/31) at the Civic Center against Clyde Park. The game starts at 6:00.
