Congratulations to our Spring Sports teams and athletes on a great weekend of competition! Softball played Columbus on Friday and came home with the 9-8 win! Track & Field competed in the Red Lodge Invitational on Saturday. The Boys Team took 5th and the Girls Team took 4th. Last week SGHS brought 5 teams to the State FFA Convention in Great Falls. The students had a chance to showcase their skills they have worked extremely hard on all year. It was an extremely successful week with FOUR of the five teams coming home as state champions! Here are the results from the week: The Agricultural, Technology & Mechanics Team placed 1st, earning back-to-back State Championships. Jayden Thomas- 4th place Jake Chulyak- 5th place Trae DeSaveur Nick Laubach The Farm and Agribusiness Management Team placed 1st. Trae DeSaveur, William Donald, Morgan Anderson, Coltyn LaRue, Guildt Browning and Jake Chulyak placed 1st in the Livestock Equipment Category for their Artificial Insemination Box. In addition to 1st place, it won Grand Champion Overall Project at the show and the students won Grand Champion Showmanship for their presentation! The Individual Competition results are as follows: Prepared Public Speaking: Weston Sondeno, 3rd pace. Star in Agribusiness: Jake Chulyak, State Winner. Beef Entrepreneurship: Weston Sondeno, Silver ranking. Equine Entrepreneurship Proficiency: Paige Wertheimer, Silver ranking. Forestry Products and Processing Proficiency: Morgan Anderson, Bronze ranking. National Chapter Awards: Sierra Mauland filled out our application this year and received a Bronze ranking. We were awarded the Building Montana Communities 1st place award of $300 to help our endeavors to better our community. State Degree Recipients: This year 187 students received the highest degree in our state. SGHS is proud to have six of those recipients. Congratulations to our Band and Choir students who participated in the District Music Festival for Large Groups on Monday! Band received split scores of "Good" & "Excellent" on their Prepared Music section. For Sight Reading, they scored "Excellent" across the board. Choir received "Superior" scores on their Prepared Music and Sight Reading. Congratulations to all!! Students will also compete in the District Music Festival for Solos and Ensembles on Monday, March 27th.

Students should have received an email informing them of which day they will be taking the exam, or if they will be completing the exam at the end of next month.
