Let's Go Herders!!!
Congratulations to the Softball team for their big conference win over Laurel on Saturday. The Herders./Rangers beat the Locomotives 9-7.
Track was also in action on Saturday in Bozeman with a smaller crew than usual.
The Girls team brought home an 8th place finish and the Boys placed 15th as a team.
Girls Individual Results:
Natalie Wood placed 1st in the 1600m and the 3200m. Her time in the 3200m was a personal best and surpassed her school record from last season in this event.
Boys Individual Results:
Caleb Stosich placed 9th in the 100m with a PR and 4th in the 110m Hurdles.
Colter Fleming placed 8th in the 300m Hurdles.

Congratulations to the Golf and Softball teams for their success yesterday!
Softball earned a 17-14 Victory over Lockwood.
The Boys Golf Team placed 4th with Trae DeSaveur (14th) and Sawyer Durfee (15th) both placing in the top 20.
For the Girls, Abby Laverell placed 7th and tied her personal best score. Adelyn Tronrud placed 15th which rounds out the girls placings in the top 20.
Track unfortunately had their meet cancelled due to the weather shortly after starting.

Track is competing at Billings West this afternoon.
Golf is headed to Livingston for the Gardiner Meet.
Softball has a home game against Lockwood.

There has been a slight change in the Golf Schedule.
The Varsity Golf match that was previously scheduled for today will now take place on Tuesday, April 18th at Livingston Golf Course.

Last week SGHS brought 5 teams to the State FFA Convention in Great Falls. The students had a chance to showcase their skills they have worked extremely hard on all year. It was an extremely successful week with FOUR of the five teams coming home as state champions!

Coltyn Larue and Jaek Chulyak took 4th place in the Ag. Machinery Category for their Sled Deck.
Allyson Hitt placed 3rd in the Ag. Machinery Category for her Plasma Cutting Table.
Trae DeSaveur, William Donald, Morgan Anderson, Coltyn LaRue, Guildt Browning and Jake Chulyak placed 1st in the Livestock Equipment Category for their Artificial Insemination Box. In addition to 1st place, it won Grand Champion Overall Project at the show and the students won Grand Champion Showmanship for their presentation!

National Chapter Awards:
Sierra Mauland filled out our application this year and received a Bronze ranking. We were awarded the Building Montana Communities 1st place award of $300 to help our endeavors to better our community.
State Degree Recipients: This year 187 students received the highest degree in our state. SGHS is proud to have six of those recipients.
