Congratulations on a BIG weekend for our Herders!
First, the Boys and Girls Basketball teams both picked up wins on Friday and Saturday.
vs. Joliet:
Boys won 49-33, Girls won 59-31.
vs. Jefferson:
Boys won 46-35, Girls won 64-44.
Wrestling had a great weekend at Divisionals placing 6th as a team. Six of our Herder wrestlers placed in the top 8 individually and qualified for the State Tournament this weekend.
At 132lbs, Trae DeSaveur placed 2nd and Ryal Carroccia placed 8th.
At 138lbs, Gage McGillvray placed 2nd and Colter Fleming placed 4th.
Taw Seemann placed 8th at 152lbs.
Zane Cox placed 5th at 205lbs.
Lastly, the FFA team had a fantastic showing at the Beef Breeder's Showcase Livestock Judging Contest in Miles City.
The team took 1st place overall with the following members placing individually:
Morgan Anderson tool 1st place overall and 1st place reasons.
Weston Sondeno took 5th place overall and 2nd place reasons.
Rylee Swartz placed 3rd for reasons.
David Paul Hathaway placed 6th overall.
Trevor Halverson placed 9th overall.

After communicating with the Sweet Grass County Sheriff’s Department it has been decided that due to the continuing extreme weather conditions SGHS will be cancelling classes and bus routes for Wednesday, February 1st.

Lia Thompson placed 4th in Humorous Interpretation.
Roman Wagner placed 4th in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate.
The Girls Basketball team was also victorious over Three Forks on Saturday, posting a score of 66-47.
