For any parents looking for a break while they prepare for the holidays, National Honor Society will be hosting this year's Christmas Camp this Sunday, December 18th from 12-5pm at the high school! We will be providing games, a holiday movie, plenty of fun & Christmas cheer for all children who attend the 2022 Christmas Camp! This Thursday (12/15) we are having our Winter Concert where holiday music will be performed by our 5th-12th grade students! The concert will take place at the Civic Center and will start at 7:00pm. Admission is free. We hope to see everyone there!

BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our Herders who competed over the weekend! Wrestling competed in the Powell Invitational and took home 5th place as a team. Gage McGillvray placed 1st at 138lbs. Trae DeSaveur placed 5th at 132lbs. Taw Seemann placed 6th at 152lbs. Zane Cox placed 4th at 195lbs. Boys and Girls Basketball had a successful weekend in Red Lodge. On Friday both the Boys and Girls teams came out victorious over Colstrip. The Boys won 76-22 and the Girls won 61-47. On Saturday, the Girls came out with the 52-37 win against Glasgow. On Saturday the Speech & Drama team competed in the Gardiner Invitational Tournament at Park High in Livingston. Both the Speech Team and the Drama Team took 4th place for the Class B schools in attendance. Noah Duncan and Cal Monday continued their silver streak with another 2nd place finish in Dramatic Theatre. Roman Wagner brought home first place in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Way to go Herders!!!

It's a big weekend for our Herders! Wrestling will be in Powell, WY for the Powell Invitational today and tomorrow. Girls and Boys Basketball will be playing in the Wooden Memorial Tournament in Red Lodge today and tomorrow. Today our JV and Varsity squads will play Colstrip starting with the Varsity Boys at 3:30pm. The varsity Girls will follow at 5:00pm. The JV Boys tip off at 6:00pm followed by the JV Girls at 7:30pm. Tomorrow just our Varsity teams are in action against Glasgow with the Girls at 12:30pm and the Boys at 2:00pm. Speech and Drama will be in Livingston tomorrow for a meet hosted by Gardiner. GO HERDERS!!!

On Monday, our FFA chapter hosted the Sweet Grass Showdown! We were excited to have over 30 schools represented and competing in several locations throughout town. We had plenty of team and individual success throughout the day! In Food Science, Zoey Aller took 3rd place individually. The Vet Science team placed 4th. Guildy Browning placed 1st individually and Weston Sondeno placed 2nd individually. The Livestock Evaluation team placed 1st with the following individuals placing in the top 10: RaeAnna King placed 2nd Mollie Ruth placed 3rd Morgan Anderson placed 4th Weston Sondeno placed 6th Tresten Rein placed 8th Rylee Swartz placed 9th The Meats Evaluation team also placed 1st with the following individuals placing in the top 10: Morgan Anderson placed 1st Weston Sondeno placed 3rd Guildy Browning placed 5th Jake Chulyak placed 7th Congratulations to all of our FFA competitors!!! Congratulations to the Speech & Drama and Wrestling teams for their success over the weekend! Nikki Teague and Kass Larson took 8th place in Classical Theatre. Noah Duncan and Cal Monday continued their streak with another 2nd place finish in Dramatic Theatre. The team is back in action this week when they face off against Gardiner in Livingston this Saturday. The Wrestling team also had a successful weekend, hosting their first competition of the year in Livingston. Way to go Herders!

Speech & Drama is heading to Shepherd for their meet and Wrestling is hosting the Ranger Invitational in Livingston for their first competition of the season. GO HERDERS!!! Also- Don't forget to check out the Jazz Band and Sweet 16's performance at American Bank TODAY at 11:00. The SGHS art show will be held at Two Rivers Gallery from 5:00-7:00pm TONIGHT before the Lighted Parade. We look forward to seeing everyone out and about and supporting our students this weekend!

Tomorrow is an exciting day for our SGHS students! Our Jazz Band and Sweet 16 groups will be performing Christmas classics at American Bank at 11:00am. Be sure to stop by and enjoy some beautiful music performed by our talented kids. Later, there will be an art show at Two Rivers Gallery featuring pieces created by our very own SGHS students. The show will be from 5:00-7:00pm so come on in and view their work (and maybe purchase a piece or two) before the Lighted Parade!

Reminder: The Winter Sports Coaches/Parents Meeting is tonight (11/15) starting at 6:30pm at the High School. Boys Basketball will meet in the Gym. Girls Basketball will meet in the Cafeteria. Wrestling will meet in the Library. Cheerleading will meet in the Conference Room. If you haven't already completed your sports physical and turned it in to the office, this MUST be done before you can start practicing.
