Shoutout to our students and staff who spent a portion of their afternoon yesterday picking up trash around town.
We love our town and community and were happy to be able to give back in this small way.
A huge THANK YOU goes out to:
The Big Timber Evangelical Church for providing the trash bags.
The City of Big Timber for allowing us a place to dump all the trash we picked up.
Ace Hardware for providing gloves to our students and staff.
Iron Star Pizza Co. for donating pizzas for all of our kids and teachers to snack on after the hard work they did.
Our AWESOME students and staff who participated in yesterday's Community Clean Up Day.
The Softball game scheduled for this afternoon against Manhattan has been postponed.
This game will be played on Monday, May 2nd with Varsity starting at 3:00pm and JV starting at 5:00pm in Livingston.
There are still spots available for Driver's Education Class 2!
Classes will be held from 6:00-8:00pm at the High School in the following dates: May 9, 10, 12, 16, 17, 23, 24, 31 and June 2.
There is a mandatory parent and student meeting on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 7:00pm in the SGHS Library.

Our Herder Booster Club has graciously provided the meal and we are looking forward to having everyone together to celebrate all of our student-athletes' wonderful accomplishments this year.

Congratulations to our golfers and track athletes for their performances yesterday!
The girls golf team placed 3rd with Abby Laverell (T-5th) and RaeAnna King (13th) placing inside the top 15.
Trae DeSaveur and Seth Shepard represented the boys team well.
The Girls Track team placed 1st at the Red Lodge meet yesterday afternoon.
In the 100m, Alyssa Boshart placed 1st and Paige Wertheimer placed 9th.
In the 200m, Anaya Hope placed 4th with a PR and Emma Donald placed 6th.
In the 400m, Aley Aller placed 2nd, Anaya Hope placed 4rd with a PR and Emma Donald placed 5th.
In the 800m, Kameryn Ketcham placed 1st, Natalie Wood 2nd with a PR and Ella Stosich 3rd with a PR.
Natalie Wood placed 1st in the 1600m.
Anaya Hope placed 6th in the 100m hurdles and also recorded a PR.
Alyssa Boshart placed 1st in the 300m hurdles with a PR. She qualified for state in this event.
The 4x100m relay team (Emily Cooley, Aley Aller, Bailey Finn and Alyssa Boshart) placed 1st.
The 4x400m relay team (Aley Aller, Kameryn Ketcham, Natalie Wood and Alyssa Boshart) placed 1st and qualified for state.
In the shot put, Emily Cooley placed 1st and Tommijo McGillvray placed 3rd.
Page Wertheimer placed 3rd in the discus.
In the high jump, Emily Cooley placed 1st, Emma Donald placed 3rd and Paige Whalin placed 4th.
In the long jump, Emily Cooley placed 1st, Bailey Finn placed 4th and Camryn Niebur placed 10th.
In the triple jump, Kameryn Ketcham placed 1st with a PR, Camryn Niebur placed 6th with a PR and Paige Whalin placed 8th.
The Boys Track Team took home 3rd place in yesterday's meet.
In the 200m, Gage McGillvray placed 4th.
In the 400m, Gage McGillvray placed 2nd with a PR, Colter Fleming placed 4th with a PR and Jayden Thomas placed 10th with a PR.
Taw Seemann placed 9th in the 800m.
In the 1600m, Charlie Seemann placed 4th with a PR and Taw Seemann placed 6th with a PR.
In the 110m hurdles, Caleb Stosich placed 3rd with a PR, Colter Fleming placed 6th with a PR and Cole Ferguson placed 8th.
In the 300m hurdles, Caleb Stosich placed 5th with a PR and Colter Fleming placed 10th.
The 4x100m relay team (Sage Nation, Kuirt Gullings, Trevor Mosness and Gage McGillvray) placed 4th.
The 4x400m relay team (Colter Fleming, Sage Nation, Caleb Stosich and Gage McGillvray) placed 3rd.
In the shot put, Rory Lannen placed 2nd with a PR and Ty Cowell placed 3rd.
In the discus, Sage Nation placed 5th, Rory Lannen placed 6th and Kade Gardiner placed 10th.
Kuirt Gullings placed 4th in the high jump with a PR.
Trevor Mosness placed 3rd in both the high jump and the triple jump.
Late this morning we had the pleasure of hosting the Student Council candidate speeches and elections. The outgoing Student Council officers also hosted the school to a wonderful lunchtime BBQ.
Well done and best of luck to all of our candidates for President, Vice President and Secretary!
Good Luck to our JV Golf, Track and Softball Teams in their competitions today!
JV Golf is headed to Three Forks, Track will head to Red Lodge this afternoon and Softball is home (Livingston) against Laurel.

Congratulations to the Softball team on their 11-4 victory against Bozeman yesterday!
They are back in action today against Gallatin. JV starts at 3:00pm and Varsity starts at 5:00pm.

Girls Track:
Alyssa Boshart placed 1st in the 100m and 2nd in the 200m.
In the 400m Aley Aller placed 2nd and Emma Donald placed 6th.
Ella Stosich placed 8th in the 800m.
Natalie Wood placed 1st in both the 1600m and 3200m.
Anaya Hope came home with PRs in both the 100m hurdles and 300m hurdles. She placed 8th in the 100m and 3rd in the 300m.
Tommijo McGillvray placed 6th in the shot put.
Ella Stosich placed 8th in the discus.
Kameryn Ketcham tied for 6th place in the high jump.
In the triple jump, Kameryn Ketcham placed 2nd, Paige Whalin placed 4th and Camryn Niebur placed 7th.

Cole Ferguson placed 8th in the 110m hurdles.
In the 300m hurdles, Colter Fleming laced 4th and Jade Cowell placed 8th with a PR.

As a reminder, school will be out for Easter Break starting Wednesday, April 13th (tomorrow) at 1:30pm and will resume next Tuesday, April 19th.
All Adult Ed. classes scheduled to take place over the break will resume on Tuesday (4/19) as well.
