
Congratulations to our student-athletes who qualified for and participated in the Midland Roundtable Top 10 Track meet yesterday. Athletes from all classes who currently have times in the top 10 of the state competed in this meet.
Alyssa Boshart placed 3rd in the 100m, 4th in the 200m and 2nd in the 300m hurdles with a PR.
Kameryn Ketcham placed 8th in the 800m and qualified for state in that event.
Natalie Wood placed 4th in the 1600m and 5th in the 3200m.
Emily Cooley placed 4th in the high jump and 6th in the long jump.
The 4x100m relay team (Emily Cooley, Aley Aller, Bailey Finn and Alyssa Boshart) placed 7th.
The 4x400m relay team (Aley Aller, Kameryn Ketcham, Natalie Wood and Alyssa Boshart) placed 9th.

Last night we had the honor of hosting the 2022 National Honor Society Induction ceremony.
Thank you to Cindy Bainter for cooking and catering the event.
Congratulations to our newly inducted National Honor Society members! We are proud of the work you have put forth in the classroom, in extra-curriculars, and for being great ambassadors to SGHS!


This morning Sam Rooney and Kaitlyn Shook went around the school delivering these goodie bags they made to all our teachers to show their appreciation for what they do day in and day out.
Thank you Sam and Kaitlyn for your kindness and generosity!
And thank you to all of our teachers for fostering an environment that makes unprompted acts of kindness like this possible!

The Softball game scheduled for this afternoon against Manhattan has been postponed.
This game will be played on Monday, May 2nd with Varsity starting at 3:00pm and JV starting at 5:00pm in Livingston.


Shoutout to our students and staff who spent a portion of their afternoon yesterday picking up trash around town.
We love our town and community and were happy to be able to give back in this small way.
A huge THANK YOU goes out to:

The City of Big Timber for allowing us a place to dump all the trash we picked up.

The girls golf team placed 3rd with Abby Laverell (T-5th) and RaeAnna King (13th) placing inside the top 15.
Trae DeSaveur and Seth Shepard represented the boys team well.
The Girls Track team placed 1st at the Red Lodge meet yesterday afternoon.
In the 100m, Alyssa Boshart placed 1st and Paige Wertheimer placed 9th.
In the 200m, Anaya Hope placed 4th with a PR and Emma Donald placed 6th.
In the 400m, Aley Aller placed 2nd, Anaya Hope placed 4rd with a PR and Emma Donald placed 5th.
In the 800m, Kameryn Ketcham placed 1st, Natalie Wood 2nd with a PR and Ella Stosich 3rd with a PR.

Anaya Hope placed 6th in the 100m hurdles and also recorded a PR.

Late this morning we had the pleasure of hosting the Student Council candidate speeches and elections. The outgoing Student Council officers also hosted the school to a wonderful lunchtime BBQ.
