Please help SAVY by donating to our holiday food drive!
We are looking for canned goods, boxed meals, non-perishables, pet food, household supplies (cleaning, personal hygiene, toiletries, etc.) To increase incentive we have turned it into a competition between the classes. The winning class will receive $0.25 for EACH item donated. The boxes are in Ms. Perkins’ classroom.
The food drive will be going on until November 22nd.

On Saturday the Speech & Drama team competed in the Eastern Kickoff Tournament in Billings. There were 24 schools from all classes and over 350 competitors.
Congratulations to Angelina Mason for placing 8th overall in Humorous Solo and Lia Thompson for placing 7th in Spontaneous Oral Interpretation.

Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for November 8th and 9th from 2:00-6:00 PM. Students will be released at 1:30PM. Quarter 1 report cards can be picked up at the front office during this time.
We look forward to seeing you here on Monday and Tuesday evening.!
The Winter Sports meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 16th at 7:00 pm in the SGHS Gym. Students interested in participating in winter sports, as well as their parents, need to attend this meeting.
If you have not done so already, please make sure to get your sports physical into the office before the start of the winter sports season!

Congratulations to the FFA Farm and Agribusiness Management team who competed at the National Convention last week and earned 5th place in the country! Team members include: Jake Chulyak, Morgan Anderson, Ashley Young, Cody Prather, Emily Prather and Weston Sondeno.
Also, congratulations to the Herder Football team for their 32-28 victory over Huntley Project on Saturday. The win advances the Herders to the next round of the playoffs where we will play in Eureka on Saturday at 1:00 pm.

TONIGHT Triangle Communications will be here to discuss different streaming services, hardware, and alternatives to cable and satellite TV. This presentation is from 6-8pm in the SGHS Social Studies classroom and is FREE of charge. We hope to see you there!
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) parent and student meeting is tonight at 6:30PM in the High School Cafeteria. There will be a short presentation and time to complete your application. A financial aid specialists from MSU will be there to answer your questions.
Below is the bracket filled out through the first round of the 2021 District Volleyball Tournament. We have All-Session Adult and Student passes for purchase at the front office. These passes will be available today, tomorrow and Wednesday. Anyone attending the tournament will also be able to purchase tickets at the door on both days.

Congratulations to the Herder Football team on their 37-13 victory over Three Forks! This win secured them a spot in the playoffs. The herders will play on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Huntley Project.
Also, Congratulations to Natalie Wood for placing 3rd overall in the Class B State Cross Country meet on Saturday!

We have information on the 2021 District Volleyball Tournament!
This year the tournament will be held at Manhattan High School on Thursday, October 28th and Friday, October 29th.
All Session passes may be purchased for both adults and students at the SGHS front office Monday, October 25th-Wednesday, October 27th. Adult All Session passes are $16 and Student passes are $12. Tickets may also be purchased at the door both days of the tournament.
REMINDER: There is no school Thursday (tomorrow) and Friday this week.
Even though classes are not in session, there is still plenty of Herder action for the rest of the week.
Thursday 10/21: JV & Varsity Volleyball @ Three Forks. JV starts at 5:00 pm, Varsity starts at 6:30 pm.
Friday 10/22: Football @ Three Forks. Game starts at 7:00 pm.
Saturday 10/23: State Cross Country Meet in Missoula.
Saturday 10/23: Boys Soccer State Semifinals at Park High in Livingston. Game starts at 11:00 am.
Congratulations to our FFA Livestock and Ag Sales competitors for taking first place at the Northern International Livestock Expo (NILE) contest yesterday! Out of 400 competitors from 4 different states, we had 5 students place in the top 10 individually: Morgan Anderson, Camryn Niebur, RaeAnna King, Jake Stene and David Paul Hathaway.

Tonight is Senior Honor Night for Volleyball, Cross Country, Soccer and Band!
Come on down to the Volleyball game and cheer on the Herders as they take on the Townsend Bulldogs. The JV game starts at 5:30 pm and the Varsity game will start at 7:00 pm.

Good Morning Students and Parents!
This is a reminder that flu shots will be administered at the High School TODAY from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. This will be taking place in the hallway between the gym and the cafeteria so please come through the gym entrance. You must have a completed packet in order to receive your shot. Packets have been emailed to all SGHS parents and can also be picked up at the front office.
Don't forget to come to the High School gym tonight for the Fall Concert! There will be great performances from both the Grade School and High School students for all to enjoy.
The show starts at 7:00 pm.
